OUR PLEASURE

Description

Vigon, born in Rabat on July 13, 1945, real name Abdelghafour Mouhsine, is a Moroccan singer specializing in rhythm and blues, who emerged in the mid-1960s. He is the father of singer SofiaGon's, who passed away in 2011 from a pulmonary embolism. He collaborates with artists such as Aretha Franklin, the Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, Jimi Hendrix, and French producer Mounir Belkhir. A notable appearance on The Voice on TF1 reactivated Vigon's career. And his participation in the trio Soulmen (Vigon Bamy Jay) put him at the top of album sales. Always involved and spry, he marries rock'n'roll, R&B, and soul music with panache. Associated with the (Rolling) Dominos, he found a band perfectly suited to his ambitions, sharing the same musical emotions. Vigon met Didier Marty (leader of the Rolling Dominos) during studio recordings for Jacques Barsamian. They discovered a common passion for Little Richard's rock'n'roll and rhythm'n'blues. But beyond their love for 1950s and 60s American music, a simple and sincere friendship developed. Didier Marty invited him to sing a version of "Blueberry Hill" on the third Rolling Dominos album, and it was a revelation; Vigon's voice and the band's sound blended perfectly. The adventure began at the Petit Journal Montparnasse in Paris with a tribute to Little Richard. Then they shared the stage at renowned festivals. The sound of Vigon and the Dominos is the rock'n'roll and rhythm'n'blues we love, wild and elegant, brassy as desired and full of feeling, energy, and love. They love it and happily share it with the public.
