SOLAR FUNK PRODUCED AND ARRANGED BY FRED PALLEM From New York to Belleville, the unusual journey of 70-year-old skinny man (really?!), Vic Moan, who has collaborated with, among others, Vincent Ségal, Seb Martel, Emily Loizeau, Les Rita Mitsouko (and refused to be Tim Hardin's bassist), returns in 2016 with a new album, produced and arranged by Fred Pallem (Le Sacre du Tympan), recorded in the United States with long-time friends like Herbie Hynde, Ben Dover, Manny Balestrero, and in Paris with Emiliano Turi (Ornette, Jeanne Added, Rokia Traoré), all mixed by the indispensable Bertrand Fresel (Katerine, Odezenne, Michelle Blades). The album reflects Vic Moan's musical roots and unique songwriting with funk and reggae rhythms (influenced by David Byrne and Lee Perry) served with frosty soul harmonies and sharp riffs like those of James Chance & The Contortions.
