The inventive compositions of Luca Salvadori, including the commissioned works Overture: Tango-Baroque and "Mater Maria", blend Baroque structures with the rhythms of Nuevo Tango, creating a striking dialogue between tradition and modernity. This album is a tribute to women, with Maria as the common thread. From the violin concerto dedicated to Anna Maria to Piazzolla's arias written for female voices, and through Salvadori's evocative works, it celebrates feminine presence, strength, and talent across time and styles. The recording also features lyrical gems by Bononcini and Vinci, as well as Piazzolla's expressive pieces, from the ardent "Yo soy Maria" to a tender Ave Maria arranged for violin, bandoneón, and soprano.
