Formed in 1989, Velocity Girl is one of the seminal indie-pop bands of the 1990s, blending Britpop's catchy melodies with shoegaze's distorted guitars. They released three albums on Sub Pop between 1993 and 1996, and gained mainstream recognition with a track on the platinum-certified soundtrack to the cult teen film "Clueless." The album was recorded at Cue Studios, Falls Church, VA, with John Porter (The Smiths, Billy Bragg, The Alarm). With bonus tracks recorded at Inner Ear Studios, Arlington, VA.
