Velma Perkins is the sister of guitarist, songwriter and producer Al Perkins. A successful songwriter under her married name Vee Allen, "Yes, My Goodness, Yes" was the flipside to her only Twinight single, her debut 1970 45 "I'll Always Love You." With more than a touch of the Diana-era Supremes, this is a superb uptempo groove with Twinight typical brass and funky guitar that could well be Al's own.
The B-side features Johnson, Hawkins, Tatum & Durr's debut single for Capsoul, 'You Can't Blame Me'. A super soulful funky mid tempo track that allows the five singers (even if there are only four names in their chosen moniker) to lay down a super lush soundtrack.
