It has been about ten years since Vektor formed. This American quartet began to make a name for itself with its first release, "Black Future," published in 2009. A breathtaking progressive and technical Thrash album, which proved to be one of the best Thrash releases in recent years. In a style where originality is by no means a priority over effectiveness, it was inevitable that some fiery youngsters would decide to shake up the established codes. So no, Vektor is not a band that mixes Thrash with a ton of diverse influences and styles, but rather a band that tries to structure its songs in a slightly less simplistic and habitual way. The length of these songs is already a consequence of this. Rich in original atmospheres and aggressive riffs, Outer Isolation, their second album released in 2011, is nothing less than a Thrash bomb with evocative titles. A must-discover for all fans of Meshuggah and Mastodon.
