Varnish La Piscine, the 25-year-old Swiss singer-songwriter & producer, is back with a new 7-track EP, titled 'This Lake Is Successful'. After his initial works under the name Pink Flamingo, which led him to collaborate with Sébastien Tellier & Philippe Zdar, Varnish joins Pedro Winter & Ed Banger Records. For his debut with Ed Banger Records, the artist decided to do what he does best: surprise. Both musically and visually. Composed between 2021 and 2022, his album has all the characteristics of a perfect seven-track calling card to enter the rich and creative universe of the young musician. Music for connoisseurs and accessible to all, in the form of refined pop where numerous influences can be heard: rap, bossa, electronic synth lines, 'surf music', reggae, carried by Varnish's vocals and rap, as well as three guest artists, all accompanied by a series of short films.
