Ten years after her first Best of, Vanessa Paradis releases 'Best of et Variations'.
CD1 brings together Vanessa's most significant singles, from "Joe le taxi" to "Il y a," including "Tandem" and "Divine Idylle." It also includes Vanessa's new singles since "La Seine" to those from the albums 'Love Songs' and 'Les Sources.' And, of course, the brand new unreleased single "Vague à l'âme" which opens this first CD.
CD2 is titled 'Variations'. It features, of course, "Dans l'univers," the already very popular duet with Nekfeu, but also those with Gaëtan Roussel, Israeli singer Oren Lavie, or the rarer one with Etienne Daho on the song "Des Heures Hindoues." Also included are covers recorded during participations in tribute albums: "Le Baiser" ('Souchon dans l'air'), "Angora" ('Tels Alain Bashung'), "Du bout des lèvres" for classical pianist Alexandre Tharaud's 'Barbara' project. Additionally, there are unreleased tracks from TV shows: from the historic duet performed at the Cannes Film Festival in 1985 with Jeanne Moreau on the song "Le Tourbillon" to the one with Ben Harper on "Waiting for an Angel," or the very rare "Stand By Me" with Willy Deville. And many more gems.
