WINTER SESSIONS (vinyl)

Description

Valparaiso composed "Low Tides" which will be the soundtrack to Christophe Cousin's film "Deux temps, trois mouvements". This naturally dictates a free form of writing; the usual song codes are set aside to make way for a form of expression whose framework is similar to that of an imaginary journey - a roll of photos, a Super 8 reel... With this first step taken, the creative process continues and expands, leading to an intense collaboration with Phoebe Killdeer. Already a writer on "We hear voices" within the Fitzcarraldo Sessions, the Australian singer, recently revealed by the single "Fade Out Lines", co-wrote several tracks with Valparaiso, 4 of which are featured on the 6-track vinyl. Recorded and mixed in Bristol by John Parish, the "Winterer Sessions" represent the first tableau of Valparaiso's compositions, a musical opening that precedes the release of an album planned for January 2016.
