Ugly Mac Beer, a French hip-hop producer active for over 20 years, returns to his youthful passions and ventures for the first time into synth-punk production with his upcoming album titled "Broken Ill". 30 years later, he realizes and produces, Rick Rubin-style, an album he dreamed of making since he was 16 years old."Broken Ill" is much more than just an album. A British-style sound blending post-punk, electro-punk, darkwave, new wave, without forgetting his US hip-hop roots, enhanced with a strong rap rock touch.On the featuring side, Ugly Mac Beer has selected rappers from diverse backgrounds. Among them, the iconic Princess Superstar, a prominent figure of the 90s underground; then, he teamed up with French rapper signed to Kitsuné, Mynameisleonidas, who accompanied him on a good third of the album. We also encounter the singer of the French punk band Frustration, as well as his friend The Real Fake MC Alias OP18, a regular collaborator with Ugly Mac Beer.
