Tyr, the band from the Faroe Islands, is undeniably at the forefront of Scandinavian metal with their new album "Hel." This eighth opus is filled with progressive melodies blending folk and metal, which will undoubtedly resonate with anyone who has followed the band's evolution over the past two decades. Known for their prolific creativity, Tyr's members released five full-length albums in seven years. However, six years have passed between the release of "Valkyria" and "Hel." During this period, the band extensively toured, taking their previous album around the world to stages in numerous countries, with Children Of Bodom as their opening act in North America. Conceptually, the album is inspired by mythology, personal experiences, and major international events... thus offering a multifaceted experience depending on the listener's interpretation. Hel was entirely produced by Thomsen and Joensen at Latter's studio in Soldarfjorour and at Jacob Hansen's Danish studio.
