Tyr, the band from the Faroe Islands, undeniably positions itself as the vanguard of Scandinavian metal with the new album "Hel." This eighth opus is filled with progressive melodies between folk and metal that will undoubtedly resonate with anyone who has followed the band's evolution over the past two decades. Known for their prolific creativity, the members of Tyr have released five full-length albums in the span of seven years. However, six years will have passed between the release of "Valkyria" and "Hel." During this time, the band extensively toured, taking their last album around the world on stages in many countries, with Children Of Bodom as the opening act on the North American continent. Conceptually, the album is inspired by mythology, personal experiences, and major international events... thus offering a multifaceted experience depending on the listener's interpretation. "Hel" was entirely worked on by Thomsen and Joensen at Latter's studio in Soldarfjorour as well as at Jacob Hansen's Danish studio.
