For this new album under the name Typhonian Highlife, Spencer Clark (The Skaters, Monopoly Child Star Searchers) wanted to create an existentialist experience around the symbolism of a magical bio-system ('The Shells') capable of revealing to someone the nature of their existence. In his approach, the American artist experienced a precise sequence of events including the discovery of psychic photography, journeys to specific fantastical places (Australia and Sicily), and learning about the behavior of gecko lizards and black holes. The result is 8 experimental tracks which, like Star Trek's holodeck, depict a visual and sonic landscape in which the listener experiences a true encounter. They then find themselves faced with a hallucinated collection of real and unreal events composing the logbook of the world situated at the edge of our own, 'The World Of Shells', a world from which it will be difficult to return.
