Hard rock singer-songwriters Tyketto will release their sixth studio album, Closer To The Sun, on March 20, 2026 via Silver Lining Music. With this record, the band unveils some of their finest, superbly crafted rock anthems, celebrating the return of this unjustly underrated quintet, originally founded in New York. Led by singer and founding member Danny Vaughn, the album was recorded in several studios in the UK and Europe, including Flip Flop Studios and Rockfield in Wales. From the swing and confidence of "Higher Than High," their deep appreciation for the liberating power of music is evident, Vaughn roaring: "In this space, you can learn to heal / There's a music that helps you feel / Higher than high." Alongside Vaughn, Harry Scott Elliott on guitar, Ged Rylands on keyboards, Chris Childs (Thunder) on bass, and Johnny Dee (Doro) on drums deliver high-level performances and literally make the tracks crackle. Throughout Closer To The Sun, Tyketto speaks to the listener of true loves, losses, and life's pleasures. From the triumphant and unifying anthem of the title track, celebrating the power of love, to the punchy brutality of "Hit Me Where It Hurts," designed to raise fists and make hearts beat, to the powerful ballad "The Picture," Tyketto continues to confidently evolve on the same musical ground as Whitesnake or Aerosmith, with an added freshness for many listeners. Closer To The Sun sees Tyketto reaffirming their place among the most respected and enduring names in rock.
