To mark the 45th anniversary of « Desire », here is the reissue of this foundational record, recorded by one of the first groups of the Californian underground culture with the enigmatic name: Tuxedomoon. The group's second studio album, recorded in John Foxx's studio, delivers an aesthetic new wave whose final result creates unique, atmospheric, and colorful moods. Special care has been taken with the remastering, from the original master tapes, to remove any hiss, improve the dynamics as well as the signal-to-noise ratio, and finally to highlight certain frequencies, while ensuring the original spirit of the recording is well preserved. Equally special care has been taken with the lacquer cutting to achieve the best musical rendering through deeper grooves and therefore a sound with more depth. The audiophile result will delight all fans, even the most demanding. This version includes several previously unreleased tracks, accompanied by a magnificent booklet enriched with unpublished photos and numerous testimonials from personalities proving that this album is definitively a « masterpiece ».
