Trop Tard is an obscure band, both in terms of notoriety and sound. Self-produced, "Photodrone" (on cassette in 1987) and "Ils Etaient 9 Dans L'Obscurité" (on vinyl in 1988) remained in obscurity for 25 years. Nevertheless, these are monuments of French-produced Cold Wave. This Cold Wave subsequently spawned British post-punk, notably producer Martin Hannett, who shaped the sound of Manchester's Factory Records. Melancholy and dark, emotional and close to the purest pathos. Both albums are reissued on vinyl in a deluxe edition limited to 700 copies.
