« The Isimsiz trio (“nameless” in Turkish) has certainly established itself as one of the most exciting piano trios on the current classical music scene. » The three members of the Isimsiz Trio already have impressive individual backgrounds: Erdem Misirlioglu was a finalist in the BBC Young Musician Concerto in 2008, Pablo Hernán Benedí is a member of the Chiaroscuro Quartet, formed by Alina Ibragimova, and Michael Petrov represented the United Kingdom in the Rising Star series of the European Concert Halls Organization. This record is the trio's first recording. The masterful final trio of Brahms was one of the first pieces we learned together, and we chose to open the record with this piece because it represents the beginning of a journey for us as an ensemble. Between Tides by Takemitsu was a revelation for us: we really enjoy learning new music for trio, and the more we worked on Between Tides and experimented in concert, the more we discovered and loved its unique sound world and expression. Finally, it seemed appropriate for us to record Beethoven, having worked together on his piano trios, they are essential.
