Trio Chemirani Invite

Djamchid, the father and master, Keyvan and Bijan Chemirani, the two sons, have formed the Trio Chemirani, a Persian percussion ensemble, since the late 1990s. While drawing from Persian poetry, they compose and develop modern forms that emphasize polyrhythms and the multiplicity of sounds; the trio reveals to its audience the infinite possibilities of Persian percussion. The perfect conciseness of the language, the dizzying flow of dialogue, the infinite variation of touch combined with an extraordinary complicity, make this formation a stage and discographic success. This new project is thus part of a desire to present a work highlighting the evolutions of a formation that has continued to perform on stage and has naturally gained maturity. The Trio wishes to highlight the spirit of openness that characterizes it by inviting the artists with whom it has shared the stage over the years; musicians who possess a strong tradition (traditional music, contemporary music, jazz...) and who open up to our vast world.
