This Way (1980)
Description
Little is known about the highly talented band TONIC, originally from the Stuttgart region. Their only LP "This Way" was released in 1980 on the Peak label and recorded at Sypgel Studios in Kirchheim/Teck. Peak was one of the labels owned by Peter Garattoni and Günther Marek, both active musicians in Eulenspygel. As often, Achim Bosch (Sinner, Iris, Sphinx, Floating Opera, etc.) was responsible for the mixing. After the record's release, most of the band members returned to the band Tiefste Provinz (one album). Only saxophonist Michael Draskowitsch remained active for many years as a session musician on various albums. If you look at fan or collector websites dedicated to krautrock and progrock on the internet, you will find many glowing reviews of the highly demanding LP "This Way." Today, you cannot find an original in reasonable condition for under 100 euros. For this reissue on CD and LP, an original was doubled by Patrick Engel and then remastered by Andreas "Neudi" Neuderth. Both formats contain artwork from the original LP. Thus, a piece of German music history has been saved.Buy This Way (1980) at the best price
