Description

This live album, recorded in November 2016, highlights the Swedish jazz group composed of leader and bassist Dan Berglund (who worked in the e.s.t. trio of the late Esbjörn Svensson), guitarist Johan Lindström, pianist and violinist Martin Hederos, and drummer Andreas Werliin during their concert at the JazzClub Bix in Stuttgart. They played a repertoire drawn from their three albums Forevergreens, Nubium Swimtrip, and Dig It To The End, all three critically acclaimed upon their release. Tonbruket is one of those lesser-known groups to the general French public that ignore the boundaries between genres to engage in creations where jazz, psychedelic rock, and trip-hop are on equal footing with minimalist and atmospheric music. Regularly awarded in their country, the quartet demonstrates extraordinary inventiveness with each new record.
