Tomahawk, the rock band composed of Duane Denison (The Jesus Lizard/Unsemble), Trevor Dunn (Mr. Bungle/Fantômas), Mike Patton (Faith No More/Mr. Bungle, etc.), and John Stanier (Helmet/Battles), is back with its first full album in eight years, the highly anticipated Tonic Immobility (March 26, Ipecac Recordings). "Tonic Immobility might be something in the air that we’re feeling," says Denison. "The year has been tough between the pandemic and everything else. Many people feel a bit powerless and stuck because they can’t make a move without questioning themselves or worrying about the consequences. As far as the toll is concerned, it’s also an escape from the realities of the world. We’re not wallowing in negativity or politics. For me, rock has always been an alternative reality to everything else."
