A newly reconstructed movement from a mass for the private wedding of Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon is found here alongside exuberant masterpieces from the Eton choirbook and, in intimate contrast, The seven surviving courtly songs of Fayrfax, gathered together for the first time on a single recording.
A new exciting signing for Delphian, the young professionals of the Pro Victoria Ensemble bring both freshness and individuality to the music of Fayrfax on the occasion of the five hundredth anniversary of his death.
