Le Soleil de Midi is the third album by Toan. Produced by Vincha and carried by a finely crafted pen, this rap album - at the crossroads of Akhenaton and Gaël Faye - is as minimalist in its form as it is profound in its content. Warm and vibrant sound textures, a blend of samples and organic elements, Toan's new tracks are above all those of a man of connections who observes, questions, and testifies to the world around him - with lucidity, intensity, and poetry. A psychologist working with refugees daily and a rapper the rest of the time, Toan speaks of what he knows, of his life, of the social struggles he faces every day (Social worker) but also of fatherhood (Flottille de la liberté), contemplation, childhood memories (Vendanges à la main), love that wavers (Amour cosmique), and the perpetual necessity to reinvent oneself (Soleil de midi). Le Soleil de Midi also breathes the light of the south from which Toan originates, the warmth of human connections, with the presence of his sister Olivia Ruiz and Bassitey, a Burkinabé artist.
