One year after her first album Aquarius, Tinashe returns with a second opus that fully asserts her style of R'n'B tinged with electro. Written and recorded over the past few months, Joyride is the logical continuation of her first event album from 2014. Tinashe had unveiled "Party Favors" featuring Young Thug, as the first single, and now it's the hit "Player" in duet with her label mate Chris Brown that is climbing the radio charts. With Aquarius, Tinashe found herself at the top of the 'best artists of 2014' lists, her first hit "2 On" reached Platinum, she graced the covers of numerous magazines like V Magazine and Acclaim, was nominated in Elle Women in Music 2015, performed for Karl Lagerfeld and Alexander Wang, was selected by Janet Jackson to pay tribute at the 2015 Bet Awards, and became the face of Ralph Lauren's Denim & Supply Fall/Winter 2015-2016. Tinashe has toured around the world, notably with Nicki Minaj for her The Pinkprint Tour.
