Released in November 1994, Tina Arena's album "Don't Ask" became one of the most loved and celebrated Australian albums in contemporary music. From its release, propelled by the powerful first single "Chains," the album firmly relaunched Tina Arena's career. It spawned six singles in total, including "Don't Ask," which earned Arena 10 ARIA Award nominations in 1995 and 1996, winning five, including the coveted "Album of the Year." At the time, it was the first album by a female artist to achieve this distinction, and in 2015, Arena was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame.
Now celebrating its 30th anniversary, the album has achieved 10x Platinum status, Platinum in New Zealand, and Gold in the UK.
