Thundercat is a bassist, songwriter, and performer recognized by a large number of artists: collaborations that have multiplied, from Flying Lotus, of course, to Erykah Badu or Stanley Clarke, or more recently, on the latest albums by Kendrick Lamar or Kamasi Washington, Wiz Khalifa or Earl Sweatshirt, to name just a few. He quickly established himself as one of the most fascinating artists of his generation with a unique style that can be found on the two solo albums Thundercat released on his friend Flying Lotus's label, Brainfeeder: in 2011 'The Golden Age of Apocalypse' and then in 2013, 'Apocalypse'. In 2016, Thundercat won his first Grammy for his participation in "These Walls" on Kendrick Lamar's album "To Pimp A Butterfly." He is now back with his new album "Drunk," which features this unique style, an album at the crossroads of soul, jazz, the beat scene, and pop, with equally prestigious collaborations: Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell, Wiz Khalifa, and even Michael McDonald & Kenny Loggins (Doobie Brothers). Flying Lotus is also featured on programming and Kamasi Washington on saxophone on some tracks.
