The group from Brittany is back. And it must be said that Thomas Howard Memorial seems to have brought out the heavy artillery to make it known. A track over eight minutes long... It was time to hear this constantly evolving group again. And the first track only promises good things for a format that is a challenge. Recorded at the Kerwax studio near Morlaix and backed by Christophe Chavanon (Rover, Thomas Fersen, Lou Doillon...), the quartet arrived at the studio empty-handed. The idea? Start from scratch, do everything in the studio in record time. Thomas Howard Memorial is grandiose! It's a rock with light effusions that allows itself some progressions almost under a damper, vibrations charged with mysteries... Thomas Howard Memorial returns with music that one imagines lit by candlelight, where you can perceive vaporous tracks onto which arrangements conveying ultra-refined sensations are grafted. The album 'Bonaventura' was brilliantly shaped by the four members of the group (Yann Ollivier, Camille Courtes, Elouan Jégat and Vincent Roudaut) and the instantly recognizable contribution of Christophe Chavanon (Kerwax studio). Listening to the nine tracks inviting you to join them for escapades that are sometimes instrumental, sometimes whispered in the ear, multiple textures with nostalgic moods emerge. If one had to remember an album whose coherence of expression should be noted as an autumn soundtrack, it is this one.
