Theo Lawrence's new record is the first in a series of 45s on his label, Tomika Records. It features two dreamy, nocturnal ballads, recorded in Brittany at the analog studio Kerwax, located in an old boarding school. His artistic approach is a response to the omnipotence of digital technology and the standardization of practices. No computers were used during these recordings: what you hear is the result of a special and unique moment between musicians in the studio. Side A, "I'll Never Dream Again," is a captivating composition, carried by a velvety organ, evoking hazy, solitary evenings. Theo Lawrence fully showcases his talents as a young troubadour on Side B with "Keep A Light In Your Window Tonight," a powerful, timeless serenade best listened to by moonlight.
