Spotted by Dee Dee Bridgewater at the turn of the 2010s, trumpeter Theo Croker quickly lived up to the hopes the diva placed in him. This double CD/LP, recorded live at the Berlin Philharmonie in November 2021, pays tribute to one of the great tutelary figures in jazz history: Miles Davis. Theo Croker revisits Miles's repertoire: the first CD focuses on Miles's large ensembles throughout history, and the second CD on the orchestral repertoire with musicians from the Berlin Philharmonic (albums "Miles Ahead," "Porgy And Bess," "Sketches Of Spain"). Note the superb lineup of musicians accompanying the trumpeter (including the phenomenal Gregory Hutchinson on drums).
