Continuing on the momentum of the famous Modern Blues from 2015 and their double album Out Of All This Blue which made its way into the top 10 in 2017, The Waterboys will release their new album Where The Action Is on May 24 through Cooking Vinyl. Taking its title from Let's Go Baby, a Northern Soul classic by Robert Parker, Where The Action Is is a 10-song album that defies genres and showcases the enduring talents of the band's leader and founder Mike Scott. Counted among the greatest British songwriters of the last four decades, his songs have been covered and/or recorded by artists including Prince, who created two different arrangements of Scott's classic, as well as The Whole Of The Moon, Rod Stewart, Tom Jones, Steve Earle, and Ellie Goulding, who reached number three on the Charts in 2013 with How Long Will I Love You. Rich in its entirety, Where The Action Is is an album with divine writing, demonstrating excellence in the realms of musical experimentation and inventiveness. This project is sure to excite Waterboys fans and convert new ones.
