Description

"A Rock In The Weary Land" was the seventh studio album by The Waterboys, originally released on 25th September 2000. The recording followed two solo albums by leader Mike Scott. NME described the album as "a masterpiece" and Mojo called it "brash, unrepentant, vital."
This is the first time the album has been reissued and its first-ever release on vinyl. Mike Scott has supervised this definitive version. The 2CD features twelve previously unreleased tracks, chosen by Scott, and the fourth side of the 2LP vinyl version includes a spectacular 16-minute live version of The Waterboys' classic "Savage Earth Heart."
Scott has also overseen a redesign of the sleeve artwork, using a different Steve Gullick photo from the original album cover sessions. The 2CD comes with a 28-page booklet and the vinyl album comes in a handsome gatefold sleeve.
