The explosive return of the group that made the planet dance. The Ting Tings are the electro duo that made the planet dance in 2008 with their first luminous and ecstatic album, We Started Nothing. With their new album, Super Critical, Katie and Jules wanted to reconnect with the festive and nocturnal atmosphere that made their first opus a success. They chose Ibiza to record their groovy and catchy album, but they drew their inspiration from the glamour of 1970s New York. By chance encounters at night, they collaborated with Andy Taylor from the band Duran Duran. "We felt like we were making the album while partying in our room," says Jules. "In 9 months, we became a real family. We learned a lot. Andy's analog approach and the mobile studio he used in the 80s with Duran Duran were perfect for the sound we were looking for. This way of seeing things doesn't exist today. People who work in the studio don't know how to produce this kind of sound."
