The Temper Trap is about to release their third album, the striking Thick As Thieves. This record sees for the first time the Australian quartet collaborating with outside artists: Justin Parker (Lana Del Rey, Sia, Bat For Lashes), Ben Allen (Animal Collective, Deerhunter) and Malay (co-writer and producer of Frank Ocean's Channel Orange). After the departure of Lorenzo Sillitto (former guitarist and singer of the band) in 2013, the group reduced to Dougy Mandagi (guitar and vocals), Toby Dundas (drums and vocals), Jonathan Aherne (bass, vocals) and Joseph Greer (keyboards, guitar and vocals) Thick As Thieves has produced an album full of energy and imbued with a raw feeling. This record notably features the single and title track of the album 'Thick As Thieves' for which The Temper Trap worked in collaboration with Pascal Gabriel (Ladyhawke, Goldfrapp) to explore new musical horizons while staying close to their inimitable sound signature. Thick As Thieves is imbued with positive thinking and showcases the sound of a band that has taken risks and created music with the feel of direct, optimistic, and moving anthems.
