Legendary group The Streets is back with a brand new album, "The Darker The Shadow The Brighter The Light", set for release on October 20th. This album comes 20 years after "Original Pirate Material", 14 tracks that forever changed the British garage and hip-hop scene. Five years in the making, this new project was entirely written by frontman Mike Skinner, still considered one of the emblematic figures of British music. Its release will be accompanied by a feature film screened in selected cinemas across the UK. The album embodies the timeless essence of The Streets, showcasing Skinner's lyrical magic and the refined beats he developed during a decade spent building his other career as a bass/rap DJ in clubs. While he is the main author of all the tracks on the project, he also collaborates with his long-time partners, Kevin Mark Trail and Robert Harvey, as well as the talented Teef.
