The new album from The Smashing Pumpkins will include 20 tracks, including the title track "Cyr" and "The Colour of Love." It was recorded in the band's hometown of Chicago, with Billy Corgan as producer. "'Cyr' is a dystopian madness," Corgan said, "a weapon against the world, set against shifting loyalties and time moving at full speed. For me, it is both a hope and a truth of what is and is not possible with faith."In addition to the album announcement, Corgan shared the trailer for a new five-part animated series titled 'In Ashes.' 'Cyr' marks the second LP from The Smashing Pumpkins since their "reunion" with guitarist James Iha and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin, following Shiny and Oh So Bright, Vol. 1 - LP: No Past. No Future. No Sun.
