Their art expands a little more, but in perfect harmony with their previous efforts. As in their three previous albums, they use the sound of analog recording as an essential complement to their approach, using the famous 24-track Studer at Tokyo's GOK Sound studio where so many legendary sessions were laid to tape. One more! Drawing from all phases of the golden age of progressive and psychedelic folk-rock, The Silence creates new music for the new century from an almost blinding array of inspirations. Their profound songs are imbued with lyricism, unexpected chords and tempos, instrumental breaks, acid guitars, rasping saxophone, drums, and bass. The Silence became a quartet during the creation of *Metaphysical Feedback*, when Hammond organ player Kazuo Ogino left the band, although he appears as a guest player. In his absence, the space within the band opened up. They had focused on mastering the compositions, without improvisation, and they were able to put everything together quickly with great cohesion and fluid interactions. Moreover, this time, the band members presented individual compositions, which had the effect of pushing the boundaries of The Silence's universe even further. The new bassist Taiga Yamazaki wrote \"Yokushurui\" on which he also sings, drummer Futoshi Okano offered his track \"Lightning Struck Baby Born\" and baritone saxophonist Ryuichi Yoshida wrote \"The Crystal World\" and \"Tautology\". In addition to his three compositions, Batoh chose a cover of Pearls Before Swine's \"Surrealist Waltz\". Once the arrangement was made, Batoh asked his friend Tom Rapp to write additional lyrics to complete the sound. Tom was happy to comply with the request, composing in his hospital bed what was perhaps his last work before his passing.
