Still rooted in their ethereal glamor, The Saxophones unveil No Time for Poetry, an album that extends the lightness of To Be A Cloud (2023) while injecting a darker tension, subtly questioning the current world and their place within it. Husband and wife duo Alexi Erenkov and Alison Alderdice are joined by their faithful collaborator Richard Laws (bass, synths, keyboards) as well as multi-instrumentalist Frank Maston, also on production. Marked by evocative imagery and an atmosphere tinged with 80s-era Leonard Cohen, the album adopts a more political and satirical tone, inspired by its dystopian songs.
