These roots are served here with a plethora of up-tempo grooves that truly give lift to Barbara Moore's voice, as she soars wonderfully. Moore sings wordlessly throughout, allowing her voice to act as another instrument in concert with the horns and keyboards elevating the beautiful arrangements. It is a deeply beautiful record.
