In 1995, after nearly 15 years of good and loyal service, Les Rats decided to throw in the towel. But before officially calling it quits, the band undertook a farewell tour across France that year to bid farewell to their audience one last time. They also planned, on their own initiative, to record a live album. “We still listen to tapes of our concerts,” declared Patrice (singer) in the fanzine Marché Noir #5. “De Prisa is one of the first records I’m proud of from start to finish. I love this record, it rocks, and we made it with limited means, a concert recorded on eight tracks.” De Prisa is therefore both a testament (to what Les Rats were on stage), a fevered goodbye (you can feel the sweat dripping on every track), as well as a thunderous best of featuring 22 long tracks…
