Formed in 1977, The Raincoats are a British post-punk band from London. In late 1978, The Raincoats became an all-female post-punk band when Palmolive of The Slits on drums and Vicky Aspinall on violin played together for the first time at London's Acklam Hall on January 4, 1979.
