Matt and Ali began their little personal experiment by annotating and mapping the topography of the brain suffering from heartbreak and the loss of a loved one, musical researchers of melancholy, melancholically etching bloops and bleeps onto magnetic tapes in the depths of Verta-Ray's icy blue studio, where there is no clock because time is frozen. But accompanying this apparent and innocent sweetness, there is also a sinister energy that perverts the haunted music of The Oubliettes, a zest of regret and erotic bitterness that pours vinegar on the ice cream.
