Philadelphia International Records signed a historic agreement with Sony Music Entertainment in 2013, granting it the global rights to all recordings made for PIR, the revolutionary and hit-making label founded by Soul Funk legends Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff in 1971. The first new reissues from PIR will be released on Monday, May 5, 2014, and will include best-ofs from Teddy Pendergrass, Lou Rawls, The Three Degrees, The Intruders, The O'Jays, Billy Paul, and Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes.
