"Five Legged Dog" is presented as an acoustic collection of 36 songs covering the entire career of the band and including some covers. The album will be available in a 2 CD edition initially, then in 4 vinyls on January 28. "Five Legged Dog" takes a measured sample of their recorded works, alternating selections from albums of the "Big Business", "Nude With Boots", "The Bride Screamed Murder", "(A) Senile Animal", and the tragically underrated "Bulls and Bees", and pairing them with old pagan favorites "Stoner Witch", "Honky and Houdini". Melvins fans will scour the list of 36 songs, which includes "Edgar The Elephant", "Revolve", "The Bit", "Hooch", "Anaconda", "Billy Fish", as well as an acoustic version of "Honey Bucket". But beware, don't be mistaken, when we talk about an acoustic version, these are heavy, plodding, cavernous, and often brutal interpretations.
