'Kinda Kinks' is the second album by English rock band The Kinks, released in 1965. Recorded and released within two weeks of their return from a tour of Asia, Ray Davies and the band were not satisfied with the production. The album is a huge step forward in songwriting ability for Ray Davies and the group. They secured themselves a number one spot in the UK singles chart with "Tired of Waiting for You", and the full album charted at number 3. Originally released by Pye in the UK on March 5, 1965, and now re-released by BMG on heavy black vinyl in 2022. The American version had a rearranged track listing and repackaged cover. Several tracks were deleted, and the single "Set Me Free", released two months after the UK version of 'Kinda Kinks', was the only US album release. In the UK, the album was only released in mono; no stereo mix was made. The album also includes cult favorite tracks "Look For Me Baby", "Come On Now", "Something Better Beginning" as well as "Nothin' in This World Can Stop Me Worryin' 'Bout That Girl" which put them right ahead in the British Invasion pack for their seriousness and complexity, released ahead of the Beatles or almost any of the competition that occurred in early 1965, but this did not stop them from changing gears with the blues "Naggin Woman".
