THE KILLERS need no introduction: big winners at the MTV Video Music Awards, Grammy nominees, and a band with gold and platinum records in France and around the world. Today, they offer their fans a new CD, "SAWDUST," an unreleased compilation of their B-sides, rare and unreleased tracks, including an exclusive duet with LOU REED. Indeed, the band worked at Hell's Kitchen Studio in New York with the Velvet Underground master on a new track: "TRANQUILIZE"! According to BRANDON FLOWERS, the band's singer, "we have a lot of B-sides that our fans don't know because our singles aren't always released in all territories. So we have about fifteen of these songs that people have barely heard, and we wanted to put them all together on one release." Among these tracks, it's worth noting: - "ALL THE PRETTY FACES" (which was the B-side of "WHEN YOU WERE YOUNG") - two movie soundtrack songs: "SHADOWPLAY" (a JOY DIVISION cover from the soundtrack of Control, a biography of IAN CURTIS directed by ANTON CORBIJN) - "MOVE AWAY" (released on the SPIDERMAN 3 soundtrack) - a cover of "RUBY, DON'T TAKE YOUR LOVE TO TOWN," by KENNY ROGERS & THE FIRST EDITION (composed by MEL TILLIS). The band also included tracks that were supposed to appear on their previous album SAM'S TOWN but hadn't been completed at the time.
