{"product_id":"the-green-ray_orchard-house_2026_dif","title":"Orchard House","description":"It seemed almost inevitable that one day Blue Matter and The Green Ray would collaborate, and we are delighted to announce that this is now a reality. When Nick Saloman, co-founder of Blue Matter, lived in Walthamstow, he often played with The Green Ray at the late, great Plough Inn on Wood Street (now a supermarket). More recently, Nick's band, The Bevis Frond, has shared the stage with them on several occasions. With no disrespect to former members, the current lineup of The Green Ray sounds as good as ever, dare we say even better. The Green Ray was founded in the mid-90s by Ken Whaley and Richard Treece, two key members of the legendary Walthamstow band Help Yourself. Over the past thirty years, they have released seven albums and a maxi 45. Unfortunately, the band's lineup has often changed following the passing of several members. Ken and Richard left us a few years ago, and more recently, bassist Jeff Gibbs. However, under the watchful eye of guitarist Simon Whaley, the current lineup continues to keep the experimental spirit of the East London scene alive. Recently, Simon asked us if Blue Matter would like to release his latest album, and we enthusiastically said \"yes.\" \"Orchard House\" is a superb album, brimming with exceptional tracks and performances. It features influences from Mighty Baby and Help Yourself (in their most psychedelic moments), as well as a West Coast vibe reminiscent of Quicksilver and The Grateful Dead. It took time, but Blue Matter \u0026amp; The Green Ray have finally come together to deliver an unmissable album. So, don't miss it!","brand":"The Green Ray","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":57010421072216,"sku":null,"price":20260612.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/5055869552387.jpg?v=1775764503","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en\/products\/the-green-ray_orchard-house_2026_dif","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
