Los Angeles-based band The Ghost Inside unveils its fifth studio album. The self-titled album is a true triumph over adversity. The band was involved in a road accident on a tragic night in November 2015; a truck crashed into their tour bus near El Paso, Texas, killing the bus driver and the truck driver, and leaving singer Jonathan Vigil, guitarist Zach Johnson, and drummer Andrew Tkaczyk in critical condition. Tkaczyk remained in a coma for 10 days and eventually lost his right leg. The metalcore heroes spent the last 4 years recovering from this event, with each member openly documenting their recovery. In February 2019, the band released a video showing their return to the studio. Shortly after, they also announced their first concert since the accident. It was a "one-off" event scheduled to take place in August in Los Angeles. 7,000 tickets sold out within five minutes of going on sale on March 1st. Regarding the album, the bassist said: "We went into the writing process knowing full well that every song and every lyric would be influenced by what we've been through, but we did our best to make the album speak to everyone. It's a true catharsis that allows us to move forward, because after all, life goes on!"
