The Felt Tips formed in 2005 when guitarist Miguel Navarro, newly arrived from Spain, answered a record store ad. This ad had been placed by singer Andrew Paterson, who despite looking for a guitarist, was apparently reluctant to form a band. Fortunately, he relented and the rest, as they say, is history. It took the band three years to find their feet and a full-time drummer and percussionist.
