'High Flyin' is a totally unique double live album recorded during the summer of 1977 by a band from Northern California called The Ducks. This group used to give impromptu concerts in local clubs like the Back Room, the Crossroads Club, or the Catalyst with the participation of Neil Young (guitar, harmonica, and vocals), Bob Mosley (bass, vocals), Jeff Blackburn (guitar, vocals), and Johnny Craviotto (drums, vocals). During the magical period of The Ducks' existence, the rumors surrounding their concerts and the excitement caused by word of mouth made the few chosen spectators privileged to boast about having attended these performances. These concerts and the two nights at the nearby studio Magical Devices have been bootlegged for decades, but High Flyin' is now the official release that fans thought they would never see come out. It perpetuates the freewheeling spirit of The Ducks and proves that rock & roll is still full of surprises.
