The reissue of "A Short Album About Love" as part of the band's 30th anniversary! A Short Album About Love was designed as a complement to Casanova. The album was recorded live at Shepherd's Bush Empire in London in 1996 with a 30-piece orchestra. It was released on Valentine's Day 1997. It entered at number 13 on the UK chart. The CD edition includes two discs: the remastered album + 12 bonus tracks (B-sides, demos, and alternative takes chosen by Neil Hannon). The second disc is a DVD - A Short Film About A Short Album About Love - an unreleased 50-minute film of the concert during which the album was recorded. The CD comes with a booklet of photos and notes written by Neil that discuss the context and inspirations behind this album and these tracks. The LP edition includes the original remastered album with a download code for the album and the bonus tracks.
